Luke 22:27
For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the
one who serves? … But I am among you as one who serves.
About Me
My name is Rob Pearson.
I was born at Ft. Lewis,
Washington.
My father served in the U.S. Army, therefore, I had
the opportunity to live in many parts of the country and in
Germany.
When my dad retired from the Army in 1991, he decided
to move the family back to Olympia,
Washington, rather than his hometown
area in Indiana.
I attended and graduated from
Timberline
High School in 1993 and through friends
we had in common, I met the young lady who would later
become the love of my life and my wife.
Today, my wife and I make our family home in Olympia,
WA.
In the spring of 1998,
while I was laid off for a short time from Weyerhaeuser
where I was employed, I was introduced to professional
window washing.
A few years later, when my wife and I bought our house, I
found another friend in the neighborhood had a growing
window washing business.
After some encouragement from him, my wife and
several friends, I decided to start my own window washing
business – and so, in July 2003, “The Flying Squeegee Window
Washing” was born.
For many years, I had ambitions
in becoming a custom home designer and home remodeling.
I found that right here in Olympia,
South Puget Sound
Community College had a remarkable
Computer Aided Drafting and Design program with top notch
teachers who had extensive knowledge of Auto-CAD and other
programs and a passion of teaching students these programs.
We learned from their valuable experiences both in
and out of the class rooms.
As college credit, I became an intern at Washington
State Department of Transportation.
I seemed to have fit right in and was offered a
temporary position in the facilities services office
drafting as-built plans that would be input into a program
to be used for space management.
When I had exhausted my maximum number of allotted
hours, I left that job and focused on my growing window
washing business and finishing my education.
In 2006, I graduated with an Associates of Technical
Arts degree with honors and a year later decided to return
and learn German.
I also learned that my education would never be
finished until my work on earth is finished.
Along the way I have interviewed to work with a local
drafting firm and an architecture firm and have attractive
opportunities to work for a local architect.
I am honest and dependable. I
have high expectations of quality in all that I do.
